Abby turned 13 two weeks ago.
I have to let that sentence sink in. We’re parents of a teenager now. It’s insane. She gets older and more mature every day. It’s bonkers. She has grown so much just in the last 6 months and let’s not even start to talk about what this pandemic has done to/for her. She’s stepped up to the plate big time – taking care of her sister while Mom and Dad work, navigating a high school level class online, figuring out how to be a teenager while isolated at home.
She’s the absolute best…for sure.
Anyway, here are some photos of her opening presents and just having fun.
Enjoy,
Jacob
Here’s all the loot! It was quite a pile.
Ellie made her a special card. It was totally adorable.
This is a moonstone guitar pick. A present from her great aunt and uncle. She really thought this was cool.
A t-shirt she picked out!
Some excellent reading material from Aunt Sonia and Uncle Toby.
A nice memory book for some scrapbooking.
This is my favorite photo. This is her reaction when she opened the Apple AirPods that she asked for (but clearly didn’t think she would get!). She was stunned.
Here’s the car after Tricia and I decorated it. We took her on a tour of her friends’ houses so they could cheer her on her birthday. She was MORT-I-FIED!
More clothes. The hat was a perfect fit.
So accusatory, this one!
The rare sign of approval. She liked the minecraft birthday card!
Wearing her hat, hoodie, and the new perfume!
She wanted to light her own candles.
Man, she’s growing up fast.
This was her dessert – Angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries with a side of ice cream and a birthday cake macaron!!
