Summer is here and Abby and I are keeping busy with things to do. It’s been a little harder lately since the weather has been stifling, but Abby is great at findings ways to entertain herself indoors. Here’s a few cute moments I caught on “film”.

Butterfly #4!!!
If only Patches #3 would have hung out in our “butterfly paradise” backyard for a few days before flying off…his/her girlfriend/boyfriend just hatched today! Jacob and I released him/her a few minutes ago so hopefully they find their mate and come back! 4 hatched…2 to go! ************************************ UPDATE!!! #5 HATCHED LAST WEEK! ONLY ONE LEFT…still […]
Butterfly #3!
Our third of six cocoons hatched this week and butterfly number three came out rearing to make the most of his 7 days on this earth! We were having dinner and Abby stops mid-sentence and squeals, “A butterfly just hatched!” Jacob and I thought she was going crazy for a second but when we peeked […]
Patches #2!
Another butterfly from our bucket has hatched! We had it sitting on top of the fridge this weekend while my dear college friend, Vanessa, and her adorable son, August, where here visiting (little fingers were a bit too curious) and it flew out Sunday night and scared us to death. Imagine seeing a giant black […]
Shamrocks and Easter Eggs
Abby enjoys celebrating the spring holidays by exercising her fashion sense. Here’s some pics of her latest style innovations.
Puzzle Kid!
Abby is getting really good at putting together puzzles. She put these four wooden ones together with almost no help from Mom and Dad. I think she’s a genius, but I’m obviously partial. 🙂
Stories from Guatemala…and pictures
Hola! I’m back from my 11 day mission trip to Guatemala and it was a truly amazing experience! I made some great friends, treated a lot of people, and hopefully left some tools and lessons that the clinic staff can use beyond my time there to improve their care of the local people in the […]
Abby-The-Builder
Today Abby and I took a trip downtown to the National Building Museum. She had a ball exploring all the cool blocks, trains, erector sets, and toys in the kids’ section! Here’s a few shots of her enjoying the activities.
Abby’s imagination
Abigail has quite the imagination these days! I often find her prancing all over the living room floor with her dolls lined up on the stairs, teaching them how to properly dance. After she wakes up from naps you can hear her chatting with Diego, Carol, Bunny, Teddy, and Kate Bunny…she’s usually reading them a […]
The Hungry Little Caterpillars
Abby is really enjoying our science experiment at home, thanks to Gran Wessler! Gran gave us 11 baby caterpillars and of the 11 that we transplanted to our fennel bush out back we have 6 left. It was getting too cold outside for them so we made a caterpillar hotel out of a popcorn container […]
