Abby and I returned this weekend after a fun-filled week at sleep-away camp in Hanover, Virginia. This was Abby’s second year at Camp Hanover and she says it was just as amazing as last year. This year her cousin, Lydia, joined her for the camp experience and I volunteered as the camp doc for the week. It was an absolute blast! Hiking, swimming, camp food, bonfires, singing, praising God, and trying to live harmoniously with the bugs…we loved every minute! Here are a few shots from the week. We’re already looking forward to next year!

One of my daily hikes on one of the trails located in the 600 acre grounds of Camp Hanover. This lead to a lovely small family graveyard in the woods.

Crossing the monkey bridge. Nope, I didn’t fall!

Lake front chapel. A great place to just sit and experience nature. Also the spot of our farewell bonfire service Friday night.

Looks like the perfect summer adventure! Glad you all had a fun and safe week!
