Okay, so we’re combining Wednesday and Thursday into one post. Yesterday was spent indoors. Literally. It rained all day. It stopped for a few minutes and we got excited about going for falafel down on the boardwalk but it started raining again once we stepped outside. We bailed on that and jumped in the car to drive north to Wildwood – another ocean town with a larger boardwalk. Parked and walked for 10 minutes before getting bored and trying to avoid the rain.
Ended up at Joy Buffet for totally lame (but extremely satisfying) chinese food. They charged us for Abby based on height!?! Never been to a place that charged you for vertical inches. Abby had a blast and loved the “yellow rice” (fried rice).
Today was more of the same. Got a smidge of sunlight this AM so we threw Abby in the stroller and headed into town to trade in our empty carmel popcorn bucket for a new, full one. Didn’t realize that tiny ocean towns don’t open before 11am. So, our 10am arrival was a bit…well…premature. We decided to walk some more down the boardwalk and wasted an hour before heading back for popcorn.
Headed back to Louis (the falafel place from yesterday) where we were told that they didn’t have “all the ingredients [they] need” so they weren’t going to open until the truck came. Strike TWO!!! Headed to another small restaurant for lunch where we got a great picture of Abby eating cantaloupe – her new favorite melon.
Back to the house for a nap. Read some books. Made spaghetti for dinner. Now, it’s just about bedtime.

The deck looks so nice,coffee out there had to be soo special. Rain or no rain it looks like a very relaxing vacation and I know this is just what the doctor ordered for both of you. I love the picture of Jacob and Abby watching “Planet Earth”. So interesting to you both!!!!!
