Christmas 2011 – Part Two… Home

Editor’s Note: Don’t forget to read the other posts. Part One, Part Three, and Part Four.

So, after all the waiting, it was finally time for the big reveal. We had a great weekend. On Friday, Tricia and I went to the NMCP NICU and took photos with all the babies with me dressed as Santa. We came home and printed the photos to take back on Saturday. We had a very nice time.

Saturday, I went in to the hospital to round on my patients. I dropped off the NICU photos as well. That afternoon, we went to Gran and Grandpa Wessler’s for dinner (beef stroganoff!) and then to Trinity Lutheran for the Children’s Service. Abby was chosen to be an angel in the nativity (not to diminish things, but EVERY kid was chosen to be something…however, I think the angel thing was spot on). We had a very nice service and then came home to finish up before Christmas.

We put out the obligatory cookies and milk for Santa (see below). We also left a bowl of reindeer food for Rudolph on the front lawn. Abby went down without any problems and then “Santa” had to assemble toys!! Excellent.

We were in bed by 11pm. Abby didn’t get up until 7am so we got a blissful 8 hours of sleep. We had a grand time opening presents.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Enjoy,
J

  1. Great minds think alike… Rachel got the same kitchen set for Christmas. Hope Abby likes it as much as Rachel does. Great pictures!

  2. EXCELLENT! Our kitchen has been repurposed as a dollhouse but you can’t direct imaginative play! She seems to enjoy playing with it so that’s all that matters. I hope your Santa had as much “fun” putting it together as ours did!!

    Thanks for checking in!

  3. Love, love, love these pictures! The family photo in pj’s is priceless! What a wonder Christmas you all had, so glad we were able to share it with you. Wishing you a fantastic year in 2012 ~ HAPPY NEW YEAR!
