Had to split it into 3 parts so people didn’t go crazy trying to click through 90 photos! I tried to get representative photos of all the fun stuff we did. Most of it was character greetings and Abby really had a great time meeting all the Princesses, Fairies, Animals, and Friends she has seen on television and movies. Here’s the story:

We started on Wednesday with a quick flight from Norfolk down to Orlando. Using the Magical Express, we took a bus straight to our Hotel without even having to find our luggage. That would be brought later by the magical fairies!

We stayed at the Disney Polynesian Resort and, despite showing up 3 hours early, our room was ready. We had a “Magic Kingdom View” in the Tuvalu longhouse. We could just see the tip of Cinderella’s Castle in the distance and could DEFINITELY see the fireworks show at night. We enjoyed a nice nap, dinner at the resort, and then watched the fireworks while sitting on our balcony. Hit the sack early to get up the next day for Day 1 at the Animal Kingdom.

We built our stay around the different character dining experiences. These were restaurants that had characters that would come to your table for photos and autographs. Our first meal was at the Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom. We met Safari Donald Duck, Mickey, Daisy, and Goofy. Good times. We saw a few shows at the Animal Kingdom and went on the Saharan Safari where we saw lots of animals. Dinner was at Jiko over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. This was our favorite meal of the whole week. Definitely 5 star. Very nice. We finished out the night by watching the fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle. Then back to the room where we all fell asleep by about 9:30pm.

Now…photos.

Enjoy,
J
