Halloween 2014.
It was an awesome sight. Â The house was decorated to the nines (thanks Nancy!). Â I got home late and the house was full of the sounds of guests and kids and screaming and cooking and madness. Â And it didn’t stop.
We trick-or-treated from about 6:30 until 8:00. Â We went with friends from the neighborhood. Â There were 5 adults 6 kids (2 were at or below 2yrs of age).
Our first stop was at our neighbor’s house – Mr. Bill. Â He started the evening off on a high note by giving out not one but two, FULL-SIZE Hershey’s chocolate bars. Â Elizabeth didn’t let go of either of them for the rest of the night. Â It completely destroyed her expectation and set the bar pretty high. Â Although, once she figured out that people would put candy in her bucket for her, she would plop her purple pumpkin down in front of someone and say “put in der” meaning put your candy in my bucket! Â She didn’t like the “choose your own candy” houses.
She did a great job keeping up with Abby and the older girls. Â She demanded to walk as much as we would let her and the scary stuff didn’t really bother her. Â She just looked at the ghouls and tried to figure out what was going on. Â No crying or anything.
Abby had a ball. Â She dressed as Peter Pan and she definitely got into the part. Â I was Capt. Hook and she spent the entire night calling me a codfish. Â Apparently, Capt Hook doesn’t like it when folks call him a codfish.
Here are some photos from the weekend. Â Grand old times in the new house.
Enjoy,
J
