Little Mermaid

It’s been about a month since Abbi performed as Ariel in the Tada School for the Performing Arts’s production of Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr.  I’m still trying to wrap my head around what an amazing experience it was watching her.

To say that she has grown as a performer is such an understatement that the sentence seems hollow.  Her confidence, maturity, and talent were all on display for a show where she spent 90% of it onstage.

I went to dress rehearsal the night before to take photos and could not believe it when she sang Part of Your World.  She had so much control over her voice.  Despite having to sing while sitting on Ariel’s grotto, she absolutely nailed every note and emotion.

Every parent’s dream is to watch their child excel at something they love…mission accomplished.
