We had a recent trip to Missouri and got some great pictures. I wanted to share them with you all.
It’s a mix-mash of fun and excitement. More information in the comments.
Enjoy,
J
Abby teaching Grandpa and Elizabeth how to use the computer. (Abby “won” this computer in a class auction. All the kids brought in toys that they didn’t want and then auctioned them off.)
Relaxing after being in the car for 2 days. Abby is watching Blues Clues and Ellie is reading a book.
The girls were up at 5AM (NOT EXAGGERATING) and decided to open their baskets on their own. This is all we got to take part in…the clean up. I have never seen Tricia so angry!!! She found happy again and all was well with the world.
Easter in the morning daylight. Gran made the dresses for the girls. They were VERY lovely.
And here’s the back.
Here they are together.
Here’s Abby by herself. She had her first communion in this dress last week.
Here we are together. Tricia is holding the camera for the rare “Hey, Jacob WAS there” photo!
We had an easter party with Uncle Tony and Aunt Beth and all of their family. This is Ronnie and I sporting our bow ties.
Here’s Elizabeth practicing for the trip to the top of the St. Louis Arch.
Here’s Tricia and Ellie riding to the top of the Arch. They both did GREAT in the tiny car. Not queasiness to be found!
Abby in the car. The light was awesome inside that little coffin. No windows, no looking out. Just some air conditioning and a small, round egg.
Looking out the top of the Arch. 630 feet below was the ground.
Here’s Ellie looking out. Binky in place to keep her quiet and happy.
Abby in front of the sign at the top of the arch.
Here I am again!! I made it to the top as well. I hadn’t been up there in more than 20 years.
Here’s my obligatory photo of the arch.
I can’t tell if they’re laughing or screaming. Try looking at it both ways. Then imagine the reason. (Hint: It’s zombies!)
Continuing with the theme of “Let’s do a bunch of things that Jacob hasn’t done since he was 9” we went to the Magic House – St. Louis’s Children’s Museum. It was MUCH different than when I was there before. So much fun. The girls loved it.
Ellie playing in the water room. She grabbed a duck and screamed “QUACK QUACK!”
Abby playing with the water and learning a little physics as well.
Ellie was trying to grab a ball that had rolled under the slide. Too cute. The way she squoze down trying to fit under the slide was great. She never did reach the ball.
Abby not having very much fun being a pretend doctor.
Ellie saw the Easter Bunny and made a beeline for it. She gave the bunny a giant hug and then a high five and then she toddled off to play somewhere else. It was all very cute. What a great day.
What great photos awaiting after our long trip! We enjoyed the running description – almost felt like we were there. Love the Easter bunny hug!!
I agree with Gran. It felt like I was there – I enjoyed journeying with you all! Thanks for sharing. Love you!
So great to see these beautiful pictures of a beautiful, happy family. Thank you so much for sharing this touch of love!
