We just got back from a great trip to Missouri to visit the Grandparents Wessler! We got to see Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Tony, Soon-to-be-Aunt Ann, Aunt Mary Lou, Uncle Jerry, Aunt Jeannie, and a ton of locals.
It was a great drive out there with a quick stop in Louisville at our favorite Embassy Suites hotel. We arrived on Tuesday and left Friday morning. A quick trip, to be sure, but a fun one.
We spent a morning at the City Museum in St. Louis and I had the biggest BLT I’ve ever seen for lunch!
Here are a ton of photos from the trip.
Enjoy,
J
Right before we go into the City Museum. It’s the girls on a big slide. Tricia and I stuck in a “this was designed for children but we can make it work” situation! Abby pretending to be on the phone with this guy! Ellie on the rope swing. Tony and Ann in the “Coming Soon” section. It’s another metal tube – murder on your knees if you’re >30yrs! Tricia looks like a bird in a cage here. It’s the Heart Stopping BLT from Crown Candy Kitchen. Here we are 20 feet above the floor in a metal tube! A selfie that didn’t quite work out! The girls right before we left. Uncle Tony making his way up the tube. Another selfie. Tricia grinning between Uncle Tony and Soon-to-be-Aunt Ann A view from below all the wire and fun. The ladies out in front of the Wessler’s house. First morning breakfast! Abby building blocks with the blocks I played with when I was young! Ellie building a super-tall tower. Ellie reading the comics. Ellie out at Aunt Mary Lou and Uncle Jerry’s house. Abby on the bridge. Uncle Jerry built this little house. Sisters… Aunt Mary Lou keeping Ellie company after a long afternoon of running around. This is what happens when you’re 6 and you wear yourself out. Hey! Look who it is! Italian dinner!! Tricia and Grandma look at the Missouri magazine. Grandpa making a mean gin and tonic. Abby being silly. It’s all 6 of us. (I propped the camera on 2 pillows to get this shot.) Abby in front of a lovely bush.
Great photos as always!
Love it, love it, love it!! Thanks for sharing. So fun to see all the relatives and you with them.
