Mom and Abby’s Erie Adventure!

I thought I would finally take advantage of our beautiful new website format and catch up on a few posts I’ve been meaning to do for the last month!
In Jan, Jacob had to spend three weeks down in Biloxi, MS filling in at the Keesler AFB peds heme-onc clinic. Abby and I tried to busy ourselves as best we could to keep our minds off of his absence. So, for our first distraction, we took a much overdue road trip to Erie, PA to visit Auntie Anna, Uncle Erik, Lydia, and Lukas. Abby had a wonderful time playing with her cousins and I enjoyed the nightly conversation and game nights with Anna and Erik! Those Meyers kept us busy with all kinds of adventures, from an indoor water park, to open-gym at Lydia’s gymnastics center, to just plain getting into trouble around the house! We even got a “Lake Effect” snow the day before we left and had a great time rolling around in it for a while. Those Erie natives know how to take care of their roads, so the trip out was a piece of cake despite the foot of snow that fell the day before!
