Well,
This was quite a bit of work but I think the effort really paid off in the end. I was asked to take part in the filming of an online commercial for Canon (yes, THE Canon) after I wrote a positive review about an experience with their service center. The film crew had some awesome equipment and I was certainly jealous.
Add to that a couple mentions of “Petsy Playground” and “why haven’t you done anything else like that” and I kinda got the itch to do some more video.
I decided to play a little with depth of field so I dug out the 50mm f1.8 II Canon lens I have and went to town. I shot a ton of footage and then edited it down to 5:30.
The song is by Sara Bareilles and once I heard it I immediately saw the final 30 seconds of this video. I knew I had to shoot it before I even knew what the rest of the video would be.
So, in a departure from previous visits, I did NOT shoot 300 images. Well, technically I shot 800 but only kept 77. BUT, I spent more time on video than on images. This is the result.
I hope you enjoy it.
