Jacob, Abby, and I have been steadily working on getting the nursery ready and I think we’ve finally finished it, with 10 days to spare! The nursery “theme” is loosely based in nature with trees, birds, owls, etc. I saw this great felt owl mobile on Pintrest.com a while back and thought it would be perfect for the baby’s nursery. So, in true crafter fashion, I said to myself, “I could make that!”
Hours of labor and piles of felt and thread later…here is the finished product! I think it turned out really cute and I’m quite proud of it. 🙂
The owls and tree are cut free-hand from felt and hand stuffed/sewn together. The tree branches they hang from are two wooden dowels covered in brown felt with holes drilled through for the strings. Of course the owls weren’t balanced when I first hung them (OCD nightmare!!!) so I had to re-stuff a few of them till it balanced. Finally, SUCESS, and this is what we ended up with.
Warning to the crafty…be careful what you take on from Pintrest!!
Hope our next post includes a birth announcement!!
That is Adorable! Absolutely adorable. I refuse to sign up for pinterest because I know I’ll end up driving my crazy trying to make super-cute stuff like that and my OCD would keep me coming back to “tweak” it. But you did a really good job on that. It doesn’t look home-made.
We’re waiting on that birth announcement!
Love it! Great job!
It is perfect. Just like my daughter and granddaughters.
